A really shocking story is coming from Brazil, as Eczacibasi VitrA volleyball star Thaisa Menezes admitted in the interview for globoesporte.globo.com that she avoided the terrorist attack only by mere luck.
Thaisa was invited by her husband Guilherme Pallesi to spend the New Years eve at Istanbul’s Reina nightclub, however she asked him not to go there and to stay at home. Later that evening, the club was attacked by the terrorist.
“The first feeling was a horrible feeling. We said – God, we were supposed to be there. We were shivering, but at the same time happy because we were not in the nightclub. We were safe at home. Many fans have sent us messages to ask if we were all right,” said Thaisa.
