“It is a great satisfaction to play one of the symbols of the Carnival of Venice. It causes me strong emotions because I’ve never done anything like this,” she said during the press conference.
“The Flight of the Eagle in our Carnival symbolizes the vigor and strength and therefore the better actor than Francesca Piccinini, the true icon of Italian sport, counld not have been chosen,” said the President of Venezia Marketing & Events Piero Rosa Salva.
Before the meeting with the press Francesca Piccinini tried out the nineteenth century costume of a hussar – made by master costume designer Francesco Briggi.
