The latest addition to Gioiella Prisma Taranto’s lineup for the 2023/24 season has been announced.
Kyle Russell, a 1993-born American opposite from Sacramento, has been recruited by the team. Russell is a highly accomplished athlete with extensive international experience, having represented the USA national team. He began his volleyball career in 2011 with the Irvine team at the University of California, and since then has played for a number of teams across Europe and Asia. These include Bedzin in Poland, BR Volleys in Germany from 2017 to 2019, and Cannes in France. In 2020, he played for Korean teams Suwon KEPCO Vixtorm, and from 2020 to 2022, he played for Samsung Bluefangs. Most recently, Russell was a member of the French team Arago de Sète during the previous season.
