Without difficulty, Sada Cruzeiro triumphed in the ‘Clássico Mineiro’ against Fiat/Gerdau/Minas valid for the final of the 2022 South American Men’s Club Volleyball Championship and secured a spot in the next edition of the FIVB Club World Championship.
Cruzeiro prevailed over Minas in the classic of Minas Gerais valid for the final of the 2022 Men’s Sudamericano de Clubes. Playing at home in Contagem, the celestial team beat the other main force of Brazilian men’s club volleyball at the moment beside themselves in straight sets and secured a spot in the next edition of the Club World Championship, which will take place in the second half of 2022, initially in Russia.
The match promised balance on both sides. However, Cruzeiro took charge of the actions on the court from the beginning of the game. It was the 8th time that Cruzeiro won the continental event. Before this final, ‘Raposa’ took the continental title in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. In 2021, because of the pandemic, the championship wasn’t held.
