Sir Safety Conad Perugia had to work hard to overcome the first obstacle in the 2020/21 Italian men’s volleyball Championship.

Sir Safety Conad Perugia closed the first round of the 2020/21 SuperLega Credem Banca regular season with a win but with the one for which they had to work hard.

The final result might fool those who didn’t watch the game as Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia provided huge resistance although they lost it in straight sets. They pushed Perugia to the limits in the first set, which lasted for as many as 43 minutes, and the third set: 3-0 (35-33, 25-20, 26-24).

Cuban-Polish Wilfredo León was incredible in service (9 aces!), finishing the match as the top scorer on the winning side and in the match with 21 points. Recall that there was one more serving display of 9 aces in the first round. Brazilian Aboubacar Neto “Abouba” scored 14 points for Vibo.
