KOR M: Woori book ticket for playoff finals for first time in club history

Seoul Woori Card Wibee booked the ticket for the first playoff finals of the South Korean Men’s Volleyball Championship in the club history.


Seoul Woori Card Wibee overtook Ansan OK Financial Group OKman with a 3-1 (25-21, 18-25, 25-18, 25-22) in the 2nd match of the 2020/21 Korean Men’s Dodram V-League playoff semifinals. The club from the country’s capital won the series by a 2-0 and will appear in the championship finals for the first time in the club history.

Portuguese Alexandre Ferreira top-scored Woori with 24 points today, including 6 blocks and 4 aces. Taking 2nd place in the regular season secured them direct qualification to the semifinals, and now Woori have a chance to debut in the contention for the title 8 seasons after debuting in the topflight.

In the playoff finals, the Seoul side will face top-seed Incheon Korean Air Jumbos. Game 1 is scheduled for April 11.

He signed a 2-years contract with Zaksa last year. He won Polish Cup with them, not sure what happened so Zaksa lost the championship. They kicked out Lube and Zenit from the Champions League and have a good chance of becoming European champion although Trentino didn't win anything this year so this is their last chance.

Russell had one of the best sports surgeons in the world work on him so I expect he will be in great hands. While devastating for any athlete Russell is young enough to have both Paris and Los Angeles in his Olympic future at very high level.
Piacenza is building something very special there and Russell is a perfect type of player and professional to attract others to come there and build around.
