Despite the fierce start of Qatar side, Belogorie was just too good to drop the gold. Gyorgy Grozer was on fire, Dimitriy Muserskiy too tall even for Robertlandy Simon, Taras Khtey and Sergey Tetyukhin were excellent in some very important points, and Dragan Travica was setting the things for victory…
The whole Belogorie team played a perfect match. It was their night in Belo Horizonte.
Muserskiy and Grozer ended game with 18 points each, at Al Rayyan Simon scored 17, while Sanchez Bozhulev added 15 points.
This was the first ever world’s title for some Russian club, after two bronze and one silver medal.
