Cuba deal Serbia another defeat 3:2

Osaka, Japan, November 25, 2011 - Cuba came back to down Serbia in four sets (17-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-17) on the second day of second-round action in the 2011 FIVB Men's World Cup at Osaka Central Gym on Friday.

Fernando Hernandez scored 21 points and Wilfredo Leon had 17 to once again pace the Cuban squad. Cuba’s Isbel Mesa was selected the most impressive player of the match. Nikola Kovacevic, with 21 points was superb in defeat for Serbia.

Cuba improved to 3-2 with the win, while Serbia dropped to 1-4 with the defeat. The Serbians looked solid at the outset, but lost momentum after the first set as the Cubans pounded spike after spike.
