UPCN vs. PSM
UPCN’s players said goodbye to their fans before traveling to the South American Club Championship (February 17-21 in Taubaté, Brazil) with a painstaking 3-2 win over PSM Vóley, by partial 25-19, 23-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-12. It was the third five-set win of Argentine title holders in last five games.
Thus, despite the fact they have to play two more games before the playoffs, UPCN secured top spot in the standings because they have four points more than Personal Bolívar who will have to play only one more match in Regular Phase.
Bulgarian duo Uchikov (19) – Aleksiev (18) led UPCN. Guido Romanutti scored 18 in PSM.
As for Bolívar, they achieved fourth win in a row in top division after downing Pilar Vóley in straight sets, partially 25-16, 25-19, 25-20. Pablo Crer topped Bolívar’s scorers with 12 points, while Pilar’s Nicolás Grané scored game-high 15 points.
