A 36-years-old Murilo will be at the disposal of Sesi-SP coach Rubinho for Superliga match against Sesc-RJ this Saturday, which will be the first time that he is in the protocol for an official match after being cleared of doping charges. It is also planned that Murilo makes his debut as libero, a position which he never played before.

I’m quite anxious. This week has been different than the others. The game is getting closer every day. It’s a debut for me, which will consist of changing position and confronting a strong team that is fighting for the lead in the standings. So there are lots of ingredients for it to be a great game, especially for me, after all I’ve been through. I don’t even have to say that staying out was very difficult. These eight months were very complicated, but thanks to God they are behind,” Murilo said for “Globo Esporte”.

“The change of position is not easy. Earlier, many outside hitters were improvising as liberos as soon as the position was created, but today this is no longer a normal because liberos are already formed from the base to play that position. I’m having a bit of trouble. Of course, this requires a lot of training, a lot of dedication. I have not yet had the time to be 100% in the position, but what counts is the willingness to prove and help the team,” he added.
