This season there are several teams around Europe having unbeaten run in their national leagues (Volero in Switzerland - 15 games, Almería in Spain - 15, Dinamo Moscow in Russia - 10…), but neither can come close to Slovakian VK Slávia EU Bratislava. They are unstoppable!

Reigning champions and Cup winners are rocking Slovakian league. The team coached by Martin Hančík won all 20 matches in domestic top division so far witch is the longest winning streak in Europe this season. Slávia clinched the win number 20, last weekend, against VTC Pezinok in straight sets.

“The streak is amazing, we want to keep it alive as long as possible,” said captain and setter of the team, Barbora Koseková. Slávia collected 58 points and set ratio 60-9.

Slovakian Extraliga has now entered in the second part. The 15-time Slovakian champions Slávia will still have to play four matches before the playoff starts. However, they will have the chance to win their first trophy of the season at the Final Four of Slovakian Cup, which is scheduled on March 5-6 in the city of Nitra.

Slávia is the team with all-time best winning record in Slovakia. They won the league without a single defeat in 1998/1999 season when they beat their opponents in all 33 matches!
