As expected, Volero Zürich won the Swiss Cup for the 13th time. The successful defending champions, who are relocating to France at the end of the season, prevailed in the final in Freiburg against Neuchâtel UC 3-0 (25:18, 25:16, 25:20).
Today, after the match, the Swiss Volley Indoor Awards were awarded. Volero’s attacker Rosir Calderon Diaz has been named for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the current season. For “The Best Swiss Player” of the season was named Laura Unternahrer also from Volero while “Youngster of the Year” is Madlaina Matter from Sm’Aesch Pfeffingen.
