Due to the COVID 19 coronavirus outbreak and the earthquake hitting so early in the morning, streets in Zagreb were luckily empty, leaving this unfortunate event with a few wounded citizens and one casualty, as a 15-year old girl suffered fatal injuries in the earthquake.

The building that was a home of the Croatian Volleyball Federation was badly damaged in the aftermath of the earthquake, leaving their employees “homeless”.

Considering the safety of their employees, the office of the Croatian Volleyball Federation is officially closed, while their leadership is in search of the new headquarters.

Nevertheless, all the Croatian volleyball family continued their work from home, ensuring full support via telephone or e-mail.

Stay home and stay safe!
