The sextet of Venezuela railed hard in the first set and managed to keep the comfortable advantage by effective attack. Venezuela was destroying Chile in that first period which ended in 25-11.
Hugo Jauregui was unable to do anything. Mistakes from Chile’s players were piling up and they were making Venezuela job very easy. It wasn’t convincing as it was in the first set but Venezuela still got the comfortable victory in the second period, 25-2.
The story concluded after a long struggle. Chilean side trying to force another set, and on the other hand Venezuela led by Sergio Rivero wanted to close the game and have their ticket to Argentina secured. But, Venezuela was clearly better team on the day and fully deserved their victory, 25-22.
