The country was written into the VCP history books in February 2011 when it hosted the 1000th course and the initiative once again returned to the African country.
This course attracted 30 participants, 24 male and six female, with Belgian FIVB instructor the Guido Notaterts taking charge.
The Ghana Volleyball Federation (GVF) has been working hard to put volleyball firmly on the map within the country and the course was closely monitored by local TV and radio stations.
“I’m very happy with the outcome of the course and the great coverage by the local TV,” Said Ghana Volleyball Federation President Paul Atchoe. “Now we expect a lot from the referees attending this course in future and use their knowledge to conduct the matches at both local and continental levels.”
