Sunbirds, the second placed team, defeated the leader JT Thunders after a tie-break thriller (3-2, with partial 25-22, 20-25, 25-19, 15-25, 15-13) and showed to be a tough bite for the rivals in the upcoming part of the season.
Evandro Guerra led Sunbirds with 25 points. Even 33 points from Leandro Vissotto weren’t enough for Thunders!
Third-placed Panasonic Panthers easily passed JTEKT Stings, one of two clubs that ended their season with 18 points from Kunihiro Shimizu.
Finally, last-placed F.C. Tokyo Volleyball Team didn’t save the honor after losing to Sakai Blazers in four sets. Milan Pepić was brilliant with 23 in the win of his team. Dai Tezuka had 21 for Tokyo.
