Jointly organized by the FIVB and the Training and Research Department of Iran Volleyball Federation,with Mr. Jetchev Jivko from Bulgaria as FIVB VIS instructor, the course attracted a group of 25 trainees.
Dr. Mohammad Reza Davarzani, President of Iran Volleyball Federation, addressed the opening ceremony with a speech on Friday, saying that the professional course would greatly promote the progress of volleyball in Iran.
The Iran Volleyball Federation would make further efforts for the development of volleyball and continue its work on training players, coaches and referees as well as experts on analysis, statistics and VIS system, for hosting both international and local competitions, he said.
Mr. Jetchev said that the exceptional progress of Iranian volleyball in a short period of time is a sign of positive shift that Iran Volleyball Federation has taken for the progress and expansion of modern volleyball.
All of the trainees in the course had practiced VIS in different competitions in the recent years,supervised by Mr. Morteza Afjehee, Director IT & VIS Department of Iran Volleyball Federation.
