Even though UPCN did not fulfil its dream of qualifying for the World Clubs Championship, in a very good performance faced Sada Cruzeiro from Brazil in a final match that ended the South American Clubs Championship with a victory of the strong Brazilian team by 3-1 (25-19, 18-25, 17-25, 26-28).

The Brazilian team, also coached by an Argentine coach, Marcelo Mendez reached the final match undefeated, including a victory over UPCN in the preliminary round, in the final match they found resiliense in the rival as the San Juan team started with outstanding serving and blocking to the point that they put the Brazilian team on hard moments that made them lose the first set of the competition, and had to recover from losing it at the start of the match, with a very near chance of going to a tie-breaker to define the champion.

But the Brazilian team found very easy their momentum to put the series 2-1 and their experience and calmness in the fourth made them recover a disadvantage of 13-9 and 21- 19.

Therefore, Sada Cruzeiro will be the South American delegate at the World Clubs Championship in Qatar with UPCN winning the silver medal as on the 2011 edition.

In the women tournament the same happened when it ended on Friday in Brazil with Boca Juniors winning the silver medal for Argentina and the powerful Sollys Osaco with five Olympic champions qualifying for Qatar.
