POL M: Hietanen and Kaczmarek leave Lotos Trefl Gdańsk

Matti Hietanen contract is resolved soon after Lotos Trefl Gdańsk played the last match in the season 2012/2013. Finland receiver, who was called to the national team, wanted to better prepare for the games with his national team. In the new season he will not be in the composition of Gdansk team.

“We decided to have Polish player on the receiver position in the new team” said Piotr Należyty, President ot the Lotos Trefl Gdańsk. And he said “Thank you Matti Hietanen for more than 130 points scored in PlusLiga and good luck in the future career in the new club and with national team.”

After two years Bartosz Kaczmarek, 22-year-old libero finished the adventure in the Gdansk team. He joined the Lotos Trefl Gdańsk team before the season 2011/2012. Dariusz Luks took the young player as a second libero in Gdansk team. In his first season at the position of libero he played together with Wojciech Serafin, while the last season he was substitute for Pawel Rusek.

Bartosz Kaczmarek was indeed a great player for the club and his contract was initially planned to be continued. After more detailed analysis, however, we decided to terminate his contract. We decided that the player should change the club where he has a chance to play. Hir he can not count on it” said Piotr Należyty, President ot the Lotos Trefl Gdańsk. And he added “We are pleased that he was able to take his first steps in the senior league in our team. I wish him luck in his career. Hi is talented player and I am sure that we will hear more about him.”
