According to some information which are coming from Poland, there is a possibility that Andrea Anastasi won’t be a coach of Polish national team anymore, and that he could be replaced by Andrzej Kowal.

People in Poland are not happy. And how could be when they expected a lot from their national team at EuroVolley, which was eliminated before quarterfinals. Now, some changes are required. Coach is always first on the list in that kind of situation.

If Polish Federation really sack Anastasi, then main candidate to replace him will be Kowal. He has won two consecutive titles with Asseco Resovia which are best recommendations for him. Other candidates are Philippe Blain and Hugh McCutcheon.

“I do not know anything. Those are just rumors as far as I am concerned. Anastasi may continue to work. But, if I really receive an offer, I will consider it of course” – said Kowal.

Anastasi’s future as a head coach of Polish national team will be revealed very soon. Maybe even tomorrow.
