“The people responsible for the venue as well as the local authorities deserved a very warm welcome to all of us” says head coach Leszek Herrmann.
“We enjoyed great conditions and full access to all facilities and equipments. We could somehow experience the professional ambiance that Poland’s best Volleyball players can benefit of as they train there in Spala”.
The young guys of this Volleyball club had a couple of training sessions a day, but they also got the right to use the swimming pool, the wellness area and the salt cave available there at the Olympic Training Centre.
As they were preparing for the 1/8 finals of their respective national championship, they played a couple of friendly matches against teams from the neighboring city of Tomaszów Mazowiecki and joined forces for some additional trainings with the local side of SMS Spala.
“This was an amazing experience” adds coach Herrmann, which was made possible only via the support provided by the Polish Volleyball Federation.
“Our young guys did also enjoy the sightseeing tour to visit the major local monuments and some fortifications from World War II. We would like to continue our adventure in Volleyball and this special tournament, the Orlik Volleymania, is a great idea whereby you can promote the sport and involve as many young players as possible” concludes Herrmann who is also a teacher at a primary school in his hometown Jastarnia.
