Sebastian Świderski was elected the new president of the Polish Volleyball Federation (PZPS).
Former renowned country’s national team member and international Świderski will be the president of the PZPS until 2025. He was a great player, who wore the Polish jersey between 1996 and 2011 (world vice-champion in 2006), collecting 322 appearances. Świderski had the honor to represent the country twice in the Olympic Games. On a club level, he took three Polish Championships, five Polish Cups, two Italian Cups, and one Italian Super Cup.
Świderski also has coaching experience, both as an assistant coach and head coach, winning Polish Cup once in each role. However, his coaching career didn’t last long as he became the sports director and then president of Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, the last club on whose helm he was, in 2015. During his tenure, the team won three Polish Championships, three Polish Cups, two Polish Super Cups, and, as the cherry on the cake, the historic CEV Champions League this May.
