Third-placed PGE Skra Bełchatów beat the leader Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle in the recovery of the 18th round of the 2021/22 Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship.
The smallest possible difference of 2 points was decisive for the victory of Skra in all 3 (of the total of 4) sets they took in the PlusLiga classic valid for the postponed Round 18 against ZAKSA. The Kędzierzyn-Koźle side has been leading the table since the beginning of the regular season but its overall victory in this phase of the competition is far from certain after the 2nd defeat in less than 2 weeks. Not only that the vice-leader Jastrzębski Węgiel remained one point behind them, but now the 3rd-placed Skra are close as well, having -2 in relation to ZAKSA.
Skra took revenge on ZAKSA for a 2-3 defeat in the first part of the season. Serbian Aleksandar Atanasijević led the Bełchatów club today with 22 points.
