KS Pałac Bydgoszcz, the outsider in the championship with all 11 losses, despite the benefit of playing at home court and ambitious attitude, especially in the third set, was not able to do much in confrontation with the current Polish champion and leader on the table.
Match, as expected, ended with a straight-sets victory of Chemist Police – 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-20).
Izabela Kowalińska from the winning team was announced as MVP of the match. She scored 13 points while Sanja Malagurski was the most efficient with 15. Bydgoszcz was led by its captain Zuzanną Czyżnielewską (8).
Another favorite and contender for the title, PGE Atom Trefl Sopot was confident. It beat as a visitor PGNiG Nafta Piła, also in three sets, partial 25-17, 25-18, 25-13.
Katarzyna Zaroślińska was the top scorer of Trefl with 19. Zuzanna Efimienko added 11.
