The schedule determined for Polish league in both competitions is a subject of numerous critics from the coaches that work in that country, both, foreign and domestic.

Firstly, Italian expert at the helm of male team Lotos Trefl Gdańsk sent poisonous arrows towards Plusliga board for a tight schedule. Now, Bogdan Serwiński, the coach of Orlenliga club Polski Cukier Muszynianka Muszyna, did the same only in a different context.

“Unfortunately, we play too much. If we add Cups, it turns out that we play nine matches within 26 days, with four already finishing in five sets. League commits a colossal mistake, arranging this kind of a timetable. I am aware of the priority of the national team this season, but the current system does not help it. When you begin a period of preparation in December and January for the Olympics Qualifications… God help us that someone will be able to play!” Serwiński said after win of Muszynianka against Tauron MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza.

“The team withstood a tough game, but it all comes at the expense of health. We do not have enough time to prepare and sport is arranged in such a way that firstly you need to calculate training and then to play. Appearance without training can cause injuries. As the most senior coach in the league said openly – it is stupidity,” Serwiński added.
