Excellent news for all Asseco Resovia fans! Gavin Schmitt is coming to Poland where he will join the red and white crew! Most importantly, he will start playing for the club as soon as he is fully recovered!

“On my way! Stressful past couple of weeks trying to figure out what was going to happen next. A huge thanks to the club for being understanding and working with me, super pumped to still be playing for Asseco Resovia. Have a little healing left to do but will for sure do everything I can to be on the court as soon as possible,” wrote Schmitt on his Instagram account.

Recall that Schmitt still has problems with leg injury so there was a fear that he may not be able to play for Asseco Resovia at all in the 2016/17 season. However, the club decided not to terminate a contract and to wait for the player to fully recover.

“Deal confirmed for Gavin Schmitt, contract valid with Asseco Resovia. They will wait for him to recover!” wrote Schmitt’s manager Georges Matijasevic on Twitter.
