Ary Graca, President of the FIVB, said earlier that Russia would be the perfect host of the next World Championship, and local Volleyball Federation stated that it is ready to organize such a big tournament but only with a help of the government.
And it seems that they will have it, as Vitaly Mutko, Minister of Sport, confirmed that Russian government supports organization of the next World Championship.
“I can not say that Russia will host the next World Championship, but it will host one in the near future. Volleyball is very popular in our country and it develops well. Of course, you can’t always win gold medals, but I think that we have fantastic men’s and women’s volleyball team” stated Mutko for rsport.ru.
