„Interesting how the referees don’t know or they totally ignore very clear rules of the game!“ the head coach of the Dutch National Team wrote on Twitter.
Although he did not mention on whom specificaly he thought by this, according to the photos he attached, it is clear he was speaking about Russia’s National Team.
Guidetti pointed out that Russian players were performing so-called „screening“ which is strictly forbidden by the rules of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). Simply put, they are preventing rivals to clearly see which player from their team is serving. And it occured in Russia’s both games so far at the 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix.
Is Guidetti right?

Guidetti is absolutely right. But also I don’t remember that any referee in the last 5 years whistled ‘screening’ during any FIVB game
I also remember that Guideti was silent when Vakif won match in Istanbul against Volero due mistake by refere who did’t see antena violation by Vakif player, now he find to complaint, pathetic!
Non sense rule. How can refrees notice screening? And what is wrong with screening? How can players screen all surface? Receivers should move to see better, that is it.
@Ali Y What’s wrong with stealing ? People should better protect their possessions. That is the level of your comment. Rule is rule and everyone should live by it, although Russians never do. So Guidetti is right !
From seeing the server and the flight path of the ball. And where is the flight path of the ball? Where is ball on those pictures? Players in group are not a mistake. What if the service goes right or left of group of players, what in case of jump, or flot service.
Its really naive try by Guideti. He is well known as example of fair play. Specially when he wants to fight with his coleague during the European championship.
Guidetti is right. FIVB must change the rules. Put on the ground sign where player must stay during the serve of his team.
