Dinamo MOSCOW and Asseco Resovia RZESZOW will be playing on Sunday afternoon at 6 pm – local time – the return game for the final of the 2012 CEV Volleyball Cup. Dinamo enjoys not simply the home advantage as the match is taking place at “Druzhba” sports hall in Russia’s capital city but starts also from the 3:2 away win scored this past Wednesday in Poland. If Resovia wants to travel back with the trophy, the players around German superstar Georg Grozer will first have to seize the game and then to claim also the eventual golden set.

Dinamo – one of the most decorated Volleyball clubs in Europe – joined the CEV Cup this season after participating for six consecutive seasons in the CEV Volleyball Champions League, with one silver and two bronze medals resulting from their campaigns in Europe’s most elitist competition.

This match is seen as the most important game of the 2011/2012 season for Dinamo.

There is a very positive atmosphere and mood in our group at the moment” says head coach Yuri Cherednik. “We have been waiting for this match since the start of the season; by this time, after some busy months, we are a little tired but this is a final of the European Cups, so we shall clean up our minds and just go for the victory. All players know the importance of this match: they are fit and ready to play”.

Dinamo is evidently in a good position after scoring this away win” adds Resovia mentor Andrzej Kowal.

However this will be a totally different game. We have been working a lot on our service and reception and we shall be able to improve our figures in such fundamentals. If we achieve this, we can expect a good result for our side”.
