Vakifbank scored this past Tuesday a 3:0 away win in Romania against 2004 Tomis CONSTANTA and another similar result or a 3:1 would guarantee that the defending champions finish on top of the standings in Pool D

This is a very important match for us” says Italian-born head coach Giovanni Guidetti.

If we win, we’ll finish first in the group, so we have to stay very focused and concentrated as this is our goal. BERGAMO has been playing very well in recent times and they are always a tough opponent. It will be a difficult match as their top players are getting fit but we feel ready” he adds.

“This game got additional importance after BERGAMO beat Azerrail BAKU last week. We want to maintain our leadership in the group so we need to score a clear win. We won our previous match in Italy in straight sets but they have significantly improved the quality of their play since that time. We know the importance of this game and we will do our best to bring it home” stresses captain Gözde Sonsirma Kirdar.
