PGE Skra tops the standings of Pool E in the prelims of the 2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League with no points lost. Two wins vs. Russian powerhouse Dinamo MOSCOW made PGE Skra position very secure.
“We still play for our fans that are simply outstanding. We expect another full house in Atlas Arena and we are not going to disappoint them” says PGE Skra coach Jacek Nawrocki. “I have some problems as Aleksandar Atanasijevic is injured but I have also Mariusz Wlazly who may come back to the opposite position, the one he has been playing for years. It is always easier to switch from receiver to opposite than the other way around. Mariusz knows it best, as he has been playing as receiver since the beginning of the season” Nawrocki adds.
There will be also a major change in the line-up of Tomis CONSTANTA. The Romanian team has made it to Lodz without Olli-Pekka Ojansivu who has already left the team. The new opposite is the former receiver Marko Bojic. Tomis has also a new libero, namely Marko Samardzic. The Serbian player is a bronze medalist from the 2010 FIVB World Championship in Italy. “It will not be an easy match for us, we appreciate Tomis. They play good Volleyball and want to qualify for at least the Challenge Round of the CEV Cup. But we are not going to make it easy for them” concludes Nawrocki.
