Dinamo took the lead, but champions of Italy managed to equalize after thrilling second set which ended on point difference. That should have given the necessary boost, but after third set, Russian side had advantage again.
In fourth and, as it happened decisive set, teams were close until 15:12, but then Dinamo made 5-0 (20-12) series to make huge lead. Piacenza managed just to get to 20-16 with excellent role of Lise Van Hecke, but Nataliya Obmochaeva Goncharova didn’t let Piacenza to come closer.
Her spike broke Italian rush, and eventually she finished the game with another strong hitter.
Kosheleva and Obmochaeva scored 23 points each for Dinamo, while Bosetti made 17, and Meijners added 15 for Piacenza.
