France’s coach Laurent Tillie: “We fought and took our three points. Australia is an impressive team in terms of their physicality. In July, we lost against them in the Group 2 Final of the FIVB Volleyball World League, but we luckily managed to improve our team after it. Our key weapon was our service, changing from a physical jump serve to jump float and back. It’s time to focus now on the next match against Serbia, who also plays similarly to Australia. We really have to focus on our block.”

Australian coach Jon Uriarte: “We are still working to find the best line-up that will succeed. The team is still trying to improve our play. Unfortunately we have not managed our precision yet, but apart from these ups and downs, we are trying our best to make some progress. I hope the team will get better in the future.”
