Most of the matches took place at Colegio San José de Morón, where the Argentine Team played a friendly match v Cuba last April. That venue also hosted the matches of Olimpo de Bahía Blanca, the team gathered by the agreement between the Argentine Volleyball Federation and the Bahia Blanca Club, headed towards developing grass-root categories in the league and growing the region volleyball interest with a “local” team fighting for a good place at the League.
The great winner in Moron was Boca, that overcame first Gigantes and then Olimpo – both matches 3-1 to get into the top teams of this season with 7 points. Also, on Saturday, Gigantes defeated UNTREF 3-1, the host team, that defeated on Thursday Olimpo in their first victory.
Until now the leader is Sarmiento thanks to its victory over Puerto 3-0 but on the second presentation of the weekend was overcome by UPCN and now stands with one defeat in their record. UPCN does not stand on the top because they have pending matches. The same happens with Formosa, the other team that plays this Monday the live broadcast match, even though they needed a tie-breaker definition to overcome Puerto on Saturday evening.
On this second weekend two other strong teams, Buenos Aires Unidos and Bolivar had their free dates.
