No.2 UPCN returned the home-court advantage in Liga Argentina 2017/2018 playoff semifinals against No.3 Lomas Vóley. The runners-up won Game 3 in the tie-break, partially 25-23, 25-27, 23-25, 25-19, 15-13, and took a 2-1 lead in the series. Thus, they need one more win to advance to the finals. In case of 2-2, they will play a decisive game in front of own crowd.
The Pole Zbigniew Bartman topped UPCN with 32 points, while libero Sebastián Garrocq made an impressive percentage in reception – 93% (28 digs, 1 error, 82% perfect)! The captain Martín Ramos made 5 of 17 kill blocks of his team. Federico Pereyra scored 28 points for Lomas. Alejandro Toro recorded 81% reception (31 digs, 58% perfect).
The top-seed Personal Bolívar also took a 2-1 lead in the series after winning Game 3 on the road against Ciudad Vóley (3-0). The Brazilian Théo Lopes scored 16 points for the defending champions. Ezequiel Palacios delivered 11 points for Ciudad, while Agustín Loser made 5 kill blocks.
