New rule says that teams must use all players registered for each game and it started to apply in the 2017 Invitational Conference which set off on March 4 in San Juan.

This means that every team will start the game with line-up by the coach’s decision (the first six plus libero) and they will play the first set. Then, other six plus libero go on the floor in the second set. As for the rest of the sets, coaches decide which players to field.

As Philippine media reported, most of the Superliga coaches welcomed this brand new rule.

Cignal, Petron, Generika-Ayala and Foton as well as newcomers CocoLife and Sta. Lucia took part in the 2017 Invitational Conference.
