“At the beginning of the season, we set a primary goal to win a championship title. We played in the Champions League but our focus was on Azerbaijani championship. It was not an easy way to the trophy since we had the Azerrail as our big rival and title contender. We played four 3-2 games, beating them three times and losing one game,” says Ksenija Ivanovic.
How would you rate your performances in Telecom Baku’s jersey?
“I had an injury problem, but everything is now behind me and I look forward to the new challenges. It was a huge honor for me to work with Zoran Gajic for two seasons and especially with the Serbian girls, Sladjana Mirkovic, Jovana Vesovic and Aleksandra Petrovic, that were my teammates,” concludes Ivanovic.
About the next season?
“Now, I’m going to rest right now and afterward I will be thinking about it,” says Montenegrin player.
Recall that Telecom Baku defeated Lokomotiv Baku to win the 8th championship title.
