The squad of Praia, who finished the regular season of the last Superliga Feminina in the first position, has undergone some changes. The Uberlândia side, as it was known from earlier, will no longer count on Fawcett (retired) and Pri Daroit. Now, they parted ways with Ananda Marinho and Vivian Lima (Brasília Vôlei).
The only official reinforcement of Praia is the setter Lyara Medeiros from Esporte Clube Pinheiros. More importantly, Praia are about to close the deal with the two foreigners: the Dominican middle blocker Jineiry Martínez (sister of the current member of the club Brayelin Martínez) from Mirador VC, Dominican Republic, and Dutch outside hitter Anne Buijs from Türk Hava Yolları, Turkey.
Also, the one-time Superliga Feminina champions renewed with several players: Fernanda Garay “Fê Garay“, Cláudia Bueno “Claudinha“, Suelen Pinto, Laís Vasques, Michelle Pavão, Monique Pavão, and Angélica Malinverno.
