BRA M: 7th win in row for Cruzeiro; Itapetininga overcome Sesi to end own losing streak

Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei recorded the seventh win in a row in the 2020/21 Brazilian Men’s Volleyball Championship.

Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei beat Pacaembu Ribeirão by a 3-0 (25-19, 26-24, 25-18) at home in Round 10 (penultimate round of the first part) of the 2020/21 Brazilian Men’s Superliga Banco do Brasil regular season. With the victory, in which Cuban Miguel López scored 14 points (76 % reception; 48 % excellent) and Isac Santos made 4 blocks, the Contagem team remained the vice-leaders in the table with 28 points, 2 less than the first placed EMS Taubaté Funvic.

Minas Tênis Clube beat Azulim/Gabarito/Uberlândia and reached the fifth consecutive victory in the competition. The Belo Horizonte team won in straight sets thanks to 18 points from Henrique Honorato and 87 % reception (47 % excellent) from Maique Nascimento.

Vôlei UM Itapetininga (Renan Buiatti 27 points, Johan Marengoni 6 blocks, Guilherme Emina ‘Guiga’ 73 % reception /62 % excellent/) ended their own losing streak of four games as they beat Sesi-SP in four sets.
