BRA M: Minas hires outstanding Cuban spiker

The Cuban Raydel Delgado González is officially hired by Minas Tênis Clube for the season 2015/16.

A 27-year-old receiver, is an outstanding striking force and came to strengthen the roster of Brazilian team from Al Shabab Club Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is already training with his new teammates.

Delgado is also a member of the Cuban national team.

Besides him, Minas has confirmed six more players for the next season: the setter Everaldo da Silva, Delgado’s fellow Cuban – opposite Yadrian Escobar (the best scorer of last season’s Brazilian league), the libero Luciano Minossi Lucianinho, the blockers Flávio Resende and Pétrus as well as the receiver Bruno Canuto. Several players from the young team of Minas will complete the squad.

The coach Nery Tambeiro, who led Minas among top four teams in the Super League last season, renewed his contract, too.
