German expert arrived in the club in 2011 and created one of the best teams in the country. Two sides easily agreed to prolong the contract, despite Vollmer had several good offers from abroad.
“We are pleased with the work Vollmer has done in the previous three years and we now want to go to the next step. Next in line are the players. Everybody except the captain Mapeli will be out of contract at the summer. But, we sent a clear signal to them with signing coach for two more years” said Nicole Fetting, sports director of Wiesbaden.
Andreas Vollmer added that he is happy because he can continue with the project:
“I have a feeling that I am not done yet in Wiesbaden. We are still building and I believe things will be even better in future.”
