Journalists asked Moculescu why he signed one more setter when he already has Simon Tischer. This was his answer.
“If you have the opportunity to bring such a player, then you would be pretty stupid not to use it. Bayern also had Sebastian Schweinsteiger, but decided to bring Xabi Alonso anyway. It is always good to have more options on every position. Espacially because we are heading toward a period in which we will have three games per week. Simon (Tischer) has been injured and it is risky for him to play so many games” said Moculescu.
Benjamin Toniutti will not be able to help Friedrichshafen in the Champions League, but that is not a problem for head coach.
“We have different goals than Zenit. Toniutti will help us in the German Championship and we are happy because of that” concluded Moculescu.
