At the sunset of his career, one of the best men’s volleyball setters a decade ago, Dragan Travica, joined Olympiacos S.F.P.
Multiple Greek champions Olympiacos announced the start of their collaboration with Travica, making a transfer that was verbally closed earlier official. The Italian international joined the highly reinforced roster of the Piraeus side.
Travica, now a veteran, came to Olympiacos from Sir Safety Conad Perugia, the Italian powerhouse for whom he played in the last two years, winning a Cup and a Super Cup one time each. Among his trophies, a 35-year-old Croatia-born setter has those in the CEV Champions League, CEV Challenge Cup, FIVB Club World Championship, as well as championships of Italy and Turkey. While competing for Italy National Team, Travica emerged as the Best Setter in the 2011 CEV European Championship.
