According to iVolley Magazine, the collaboration between Perugia and Heynen will end after 2 years. The source didn’t stress the specific reasons for separation but revealed the name of a coach that will take up the place of the Belgian expert. It’s Andrea Anastasi, currently at the helm of Poland’s VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa.
Italian hasn’t been working in his home country on a club level for as many as 16 years, while he spent the last decade coaching the men’s national team and clubs in Poland. Not even the fact that Anastasi extended the contract with Warszawa at the end of 2020 and stated recently that his plans are tied to the club from the Polish capital will be an obstacle to complete the transfer.
