In the lead up to the Alassio Cup, Brazil won a friendly match against Italy 3-1 (21-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-25) in the Italian city of Loano. After losing the first two sets, the Italian side redeemed themselves in the third. The Best Scorer of the match was Valentina Diouf who turned in a great performance, closing at 25 points.
Making their season debut with the Italian national team, players Chiara Di Lulio, Martina Guiggi and Enrica Merlo, also took part in another friendly match against Japan in the lead up to today’s start of the Alassio Cup.
