The iconic Italian female volleyball player Francesca Piccinini was appointed vice president of Unet e-work Busto Arsizio.
Piccinini retired last spring but does not abandon volleyball. After leaving the court for the second time, the icon of Italian volleyball (more than 500 caps for the national team) remains tied to the sport as she will be the vice president of Busto, the club in her home country in which she had played her last season.
The 42-year-old former outside hitter (one-time world champion and two-time European champion) will closely follow the club’s sports projects, with a specific reference to the youth sector, but also to the technical support of the Serie A staff. Piccinini will also be Busto’s ambassador, having a fundamental presence in marketing activities.
