Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri signed its name under the first big surprise of the 2021/22 Italian Women’s Volleyball Cup and advanced to the Final Four in Rome.
Eliminating Vero Volley Monza, one of the favorites for the ultimate victory in the 2021/22 Coppa Italia Frecciarossa, in the quarter-finals, Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri trounced all the predictions. Monza have not had the opportunity to take the initiative in any of the three sets. Belgian Kaja Grobelna scored the highest number of points on the winning side (14). Chiara De Bortoli made 83% reception (12 digs, one error, 75% perfect).
Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano had to work hard to kick out Bosca S.Bernardo Cuneo from the tournament, while Igor Gorgonzola Novara swept Il Bisonte Firenze. The fourth quarter-final pairing, between Savino Del Bene Scandicci and Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio, is postponed to January 3.
