Michal Kubiak led the winning team with 17 points (13 attack, 3 block, 1 ace) while Kunihiro Shimizu scored 16 points (13 att, 2 bl, 1 ac). Top scorer in the opponent’s team was Cuban Yadrián Escobar scored 14 points (all from attack).
Toray Arrows celebrated new victory in front of home crowd (1986 spectators) against JTEKT Stings 3-1 (23-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-23). Macedonian NikolaGjorgiev scored 24points (22 att, 1 bl, 1 ac) and Suzuki scored 17 points (16 att, 1 ac). Bulgarian Matey Kaziyski scored 25 points (21 att, 3 bl, 1 ac) for JTEKT but that wasn’t enough.
Reigning champions Gosei scored their first victory in the new season. They defeated JT Thunders in straight sets (25-23, 25-15, 25-22). Croatian opposite Igor Omrcen again was the top scorer of the match and this time his team won. In this round he scored 31 points (28 att, 1 bl, 2 ac). Serbian player Dražen Luburić this time scored 17 points (16 att, 1 ac) for JT.
Sakai Blazers were stronger than F.C. Tokyo , they finished match 3-1 (25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 25-23). Brazilian Wallace Martins scored 30 points (26 att, 4 bl) fro the winning team. On the other side Masaru scored 26 points (24 att, 1 bl, 1ac).
