Puerto Rico Outplays Guatemala in Straight Sets
Puerto Rico dominated Guatemala in straight sets (25-19, 25-17, 25-10) during their debut at the NORCECA Men’s Final Four held at the Salvador Dijols Coliseum in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Key player Pedro Molina scored 13 points, followed by Pelegrín Vargas and Klistan Lawrence with 9 points each. Guatemala’s top scorer was Carlos López with 9 points, supported by Andy Leonardo Blanco with 8 points.
Dominican Republic Defeats Mexico in Straight Sets
The Dominican Republic also had a strong start, defeating Mexico 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-13) in their opening match.
