JPN M: Japan’s staff chooses players that will start preparations for Olympics

After the Japan women’s volleyball national team coaching staff, their colleagues in the men’s team have also announced the list of players that will start the preparations for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Unlike the women’s team, who already started preparations for the Summer Games in the country’s capital, the men’s team of Japan is yet to start practicing for the Olympics as the VLeague is still on.

The head coach Yuichi Nakagaichi has chosen 27 players to contest for the roster that will play at the 2020 Olympics:

Kunihiro Shimizu, Taishi Onodera, Naonobu Fujii, Issei Otake, Tatsuya Fukuzawa, Akihiro Yamauchi, Tsubasa Hisahara, Masahiro Yanagida, Hideomi Fukatsu, Taichiro Koga, Yuji Nishida, Masahiro Sekita, Kenya Fujinaka, Yuki Ishikawa, Haku Lee, Keritaro Takahashi, Masaki Oya, Tomohiro Yamamoto, Yudai Arai, Ryuta Homma, Yutaro Takemoto, Kenta Takanashi, Yuki Higuchi, Shoma Tomita, Shunichiro Sato, Tatsunori Otsuka, and Ran Takahashi.
